However, a police officer at Nyanya Police Station said no such explosion was recorded, adding that it was just a scare.
The Deputy Force Public Relations, Mr. Frank Mba, also said “There was no blast at Nyanya. I’ve just spoken with the Nyanya DPO and I’m trying to get in touch with the DPO of Mararaba,” .
Also, the spokesman for the National Emergency Management Agency, Yushau Shuaibu, debunked the rumour, saying “NEMA has denied speculations about a bomb explosion in Nyanya, Abuja. Members of the public are advised to ignore such rumours.”
