President Goodluck Jonathan and his counterpart from the Republic of Benin, Boni Yayi on Monday considered arrangements of establishing a joint sitting between the legislative arms of government of the two countries.

This was disclosed by Mr Yayi, who addressed State House correspondents after a meeting with Mr Jonathan at the presential Villa in Abuja.

Mr Yayi, who is also the chairman of the African Union, commended Mr Jonathan for his efforts in fighting terrorism in Nigeria.

He said both countries share the same vision on peace, stability and good governance and commended the joint operation to fight piracy in the West African sub region.

The two leaders said they have put machineries in motion to rehabilitate the Badagry-Seme road said to have been in bad shape to alleviate the sufferings of the people who use the road.
