Nigeria’s Sunshine Stars on Saturday afternoon, held Al-Ahly of Egypt to a 3-3 draw in the semi-final first leg of the CAF Champions league in Ijebu-ode, Ogun state.
Al-Ahly scored first in the 17th minute through striker Mohammed Nagy Gedo but Cameroonian midfielder Tamen Medrano equalized for Sunshine Stars.
Hamdy al-Sayed pulled the Egyptians ahead again but substitute Dele Olorundare levelled scores at 2-2.
Nagy Gedo completed his brace in the 74th minute before Precious Osasco put final score line at 3-3 courtesy of a brilliant free kick, 7 minutes before regulation time.
Sunshine now walks a tight rope when the second leg takes place in Cairo in a fortnight.
