The Governor of Niger State, Muazu Babangida Aliyu

Speaking to Channels Television’s correspondent in Minna, the Niger State Capital, after the emergency meeting of the State Security Council, the Attorney General and commissioner of Justice, Bawa Wuse explained that the registration had become imperative because of the discovery of a bomb factory in the state capital and the influx of strange people to the state.

He further said that the state government will demolish any building that is used for any terrorist activities as well as arrest and prosecute the owner of the property irrespective of whether the landlord lives in the building or not.

Mr Wuse also said that the state government in conjunction with the security agencies in the state will introduce additional cheek points across the state in a bid to flush out any member of Boko Haram remaining in the state.

It will be recalled that a bomb factory belonging to Boko Haram sect was recently discovered by the police in the state capital.
