Worried by the escalating rate of terrorist activities in the state, the Niger state government has concluded arrangements to begin the registration of residents and houses across the state.

Speaking to Channels Television in Minna after the emergency meeting of the state security council, the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Barrister Bawa Wuse explained that the registration had become imperative because of the discovery of a bomb factory in the state capital and the influx of strange people to the state.

He further stated that the state government will demolish any building that is used for any terrorist activities as well as arrest and prosecute the owner of the property irrespective of whether the landlord lives in the building or not.

Barrister Wuse also mentioned that the state government in conjunction with the security agencies in the state will introduce additional check points across the state in a bid to flush out any member of the sect remaining in the state.

It will be recalled that a bomb factory belonging to Boko Haram sect was recently discovered by the police in the state capital.
