Recent European Champions Chelsea will be clashing with their arch rivals the Red Devils; Manchester United this weekend and the Blues are optimistic that they take down Manchester united if their weakness in the defence can be capitalised on.
The Italian manager of the London Roberto Di Matteo said this when he was describing the EPL clash as a Classic as it will go down as a make or mar clash.
Chelsea is sitting atop the EPL table with 22 points while Manchester United is just four points behind them with 18 points and occupying second position.
He said “It’s a massive game for both clubs and a classic in the fixture list, but they are conceding a few goals and we have a big threat as well with our players, so we will try to exploit those weaknesses”.
“We know Man United very well and they are always very difficult games. But we have to take advantage of our home crowd and our home pitch and play with the belief and confidence we’ve shown so far.”
Di Matteo is also keen for Chelsea to put their 2-1 defeat to Shakhtar Donetsk behind them, citing the United clash as the perfect opportunity to do so.
