The 2012 edition of the Ojude Ode Oba; an homage paid to the paramount ruler of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona was replete with the rich culture of the Ijebu’s, as they thronged out in their thousands,  gaily dressed to celebrate their King in the age-long festival.

Clad in the uniform attires, age-groups ranging from the very elderly to the youthful and well decorated horses representing different families of Ijebu land, all participated in the parade to honour the Awujale who had just returned from a prolonged medical trip abroad.

The festival had in attendance the Senate President, Senator David Mark as the guest of honour where he urged Nigerians to explore the rich cultural values of the country.
