The House of Representatives has advised those calling for a referendum in the on-going constitutional review process to forward a bill on the issue to be included in the constitution.
The speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Aminu Tambuwal, said this while formally flagging off what he called the “People’s Public Sessions” on the review of the 1999 constitution in Abuja.
He said the House is not against the suggestion of a referendum but that it is not recognised by the constitution.
