Four persons were on Saturday, killed in Geidam town of Geidam local government area of Yobe state by unknown gun men at a bar.
Eye witness account claims that the killings were carried out at a relaxation joint in Geidam.
Reacting to the incident, the state Commissioner of Police Mr Patrick Egbuniwe confirmed that though the cause of their killings is still sketchy as the Divisional police officer of the area is yet to give full report of the killings.
“Yes I can confirm to you that four people were killed today in Geidam but I am yet to receive full report on the attack”
The Police boss said, the police will commence immediate investigation into the killings with the aim of tracking down the perpetrators and bring them to book.
Geidam is one of the major towns of Yobe state 35 kilometers to Meine soroa town of Niger republic and has experience series of attacks since the commencement of the Boko Haram insurgency.
