FG Declares Public Holidays For Christmas And New Year Celebrations

The federal government has declared Tuesday, December 25th and Wednesday, the 26th as public holidays in commemoration of the Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

Also declared public holiday is the 1st of January, 2013 to mark the New Year.

The Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro who made the declaration on behalf of the federal government urged all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to imbibe and emulate the spirit of the season which spreads love, joy, peace and kindness.

Wishing Nigerians, blissful and peaceful celebrations, he urged all to use this season as a medium to promote unity and progress in the country.
