The House of Representatives on Wednesday passed a vote of confidence on the Speaker, Representative Aminu 
Tambuwal and the leadership of the House.
This followed a motion on the first plenary session of the year, moved by Rep. Ogbuefi Ozomgbachi, over media report of an alleged plot to impeach the Speaker.
The lawmakers said the alleged plot is just a way of creating disharmony in the house and should be ignored.
The motion for the vote of confidence was passed without a dissenting voice.
The Speaker said the house will continue with its work of monitoring the way the affairs of the country is managed and expressed the readiness of the house to work on the amendment of the constitution and the 2013 budget.
