The Senate President, Senator David Mark, has once again advocated capital punishment for terrorism-related offenses.
Senator Mark made the call as federal lawmakers held the first plenary of the year.
He commended the sacrifices made by security agents in fighting terrorism and said the senate would endeavour to enhance the capability of security agencies during the year.
Senator Mark also read the letter from President Goodluck Jonathan containing the names of two ministerial nominees.
They are Alhaji Kabiru Turaki from Kebbi state and Professor Chinedu Nebo from Enugu state.
