A 6-man kidnap gang has been arrested by the Ogun State Police Command at Ajobo village in Odeda area of the state, South West Nigeria
The suspects, including a 25-year-old and final year Business Administration student of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, were arrested at different locations across the state, according to the police boss.
Some of the suspects attributed their plight to frustration by the unfavourable economic situation in the country.
Items recovered from them include one AK 47 with registration number 35-7714,a magnum pump action gun, 20 rounds of live ammunition and an ash colour Honda car with registration number FC 661 KRD.
The Commissioner said three of the suspects were arrested in connection with the murder of a Muslim cleric at Ijaye area of the state capital.
While assuring the people of the state of adequate security of life and property, the Police boss appealed to the residents to always give the command adequate information that would lead to the arrest of criminals in the state.
