A Federal High Court in Abuja has put to rest the tussle over the ownership of Daily Times Nigeria, as Justice Aliyu Mohammed has affirmed Mr. Ikechukwu Obiorah as the chairman of the board of directors of the organisation.
Delivering judgment on the suit filed by Mr. Obiorah against the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), Justice Mohammed declared that the resolution reached at the extra-ordinary general meeting of the company and the resolution of its board of directors made on the 26th September 2011 are valid and subsisting.
The court also affirmed the February 2011 resolution of the board of directors appointing Mr. Linus Idu as the Company Secretary of Daily Times Nigeria.
Justice Mohammed further declared that there is no uncertainty in the affairs of Daily Times Nigeria in relation to its shareholders, share capital, directors, chairman and secretary.
