Sequel to the gruesome killing of three North Korean Doctors in Potiskum, Yobe state, the Joint Task Force in the state has said it has stepped –up security in the commercial town to reduce killings and criminal activities in the town.
In a statement by the spokesman of the JTF, Lieutenant Eli Lazarus, the force said they have increased patrol and security checks within Potiskum town where the Doctors were slain.
“We have increased our patrol and security checks but importantly, the situation brings to fore the need for greater support to security agencies by the people through the provision of timely information that will checkmate such senseless killing and make the state more secure.”
The statement described the killing as senseless and unfortunate and calls for partnership between JTF and the community towards curbing criminal activities and terrorism in general.
