It has come to a point when we must look at ourselves, face reality and tell ourselves the hard truth. This might hurt but if we seek to have any chance of surviving and living with dignity, progressing and developing amongst other good things then we must go through this phase.

We look around us daily and what we see and experience doesn’t please us, some have come out to speak and act against them while the majority have merely wished them away without lifting a finger, while hoping and praying that somehow all these would turn around for the better but over 50 years as a nation has shown us that this is not possible.

Many have come up with various plans, ideas, change movements etc but somehow we are still here today, at a point where our lives are not just getting worse but rather fast deteriorating. And somehow these same people still charge us to keep doing the same thing and expect different results.

We should keep praying, following the system, putting a round peg into a round hole and just holding to a thread of something called hope which is actually delusion that somehow, someway all these would change.

Reality never lies, history never lies – time and again we have fed the real state of things which is more bitter than gall. Reality stares at us daily, at us every second but we somehow bury our heads in the sand, ignore it and destroy our present while jeopardising our future.

Like many before us, we have come out to speak and act against these. We have carefully studied the roots of the problems we are faced with, identified them and gone after them. We are not doing the same dance, throwing around fancy words, charts, graphs and textbooks, NO!We have come out and laid them down in layman’s terms for all and sundry to understand. The revolutionaries before us we have learnt from and we are their heirs and based on our history and reality we have selected our path carefully.

As the Yoruba say: O na kan o wo ja. There is no single route to the market place, we have taken our own route. Some have come out and criticised our route and choice, but we have rather reminded them, ”Take that route which you deem fit, we have taken and are taking ours and whichever is the right one/ones will lead to the market place.”

Some have come out more agressively to attack, fight, insult, derail, cook up false accusations and threaten us, even with death. Let it be known that NONE OF THOSE MOVE US ONE BIT!

We understand the path we are treading.

We understand the gravity of the mantle we have humbly taken.

We understand the magnitude of the task we have taken up.

And more than all we know that this battle/fight/enlightenment and change process for our lands and kindred is a battle until death! UNTIL DEATH, brothers and sisters!

These are the conditions we live in because of the way our lands and kindred have been conquered, set-up, brainwashed, divided and mentally and physically enslaved, where one of us would rather offer to hurts and murder us even for free simply because we have dared to speak the truth, where groups will stop at nothing to derail us and our loved ones simply because we have chosen to fight this battle.

But we know very well the consequences of our actions in this unequal and flawed system that we have come to know, we know in the land where evil rains, telling the truth becomes a crime and that will not deter us. NO, brothers and sisters IT CAN’T!

Our battle and revolution for our homelands, equality, dignity and freedom amongst other things is a revolution until death!

Look at the nearest person to your left and then the one to your right, front and back, what do you see?

You see the huge similarity amongst you all – Your blackness! Your Africaness! Your Melanin! – Those are what unite and identify us as a people, they do before our various ethnicities, religions, so called nationalities, sexes and even families. so why have we hated that which unites and identifies us as a people and gone dancing around those that divide us as a people?

For decades and even centuries, those before us have betrayed us, sold out on us, misled us and jeopardised our past, present and future, shall we allow this to go on?

Look at those we call leaders, all of them older folks, people who we have entrusted with our lives and future, those we have assumed being older should be wiser, but what have we seen?If this is what old age and wisdom that comes with it can bring us, then something is really wrong! As this is not something that is beneficial for us at all! And we tagging along blindly is like setting ourselves ablaze simply because and elderly man or woman has commanded us to do so. That wouldn’t be wise, that would be stupid! And stupidly we have followed and trusted these older generations and like sheep they have led us to the slaughterhouse time and again and even lined up the lives of our own children as well. Like blood-sucking animals they have sucked the life our of our lands and people and destroyed it completely. The time has come for you, for me, for us the younger generation to ARISE!It is said that the future is ours, then what are we afraid and shy of?

It is said that we are the future, then why are failing to live up to that task?

It is said that we are the leaders of tomorrow, tomorrow has come decades ago and has come again today, what shall it be?

The time to arise and take the bull by the horn is NOW! The time to arise and say NO MORE OF THIS NONSENSE IS NOW!

Let not fear overcome you, let not even death deter you, for death is natural, every living thing dies and either you stand to fight or not someday you shall die, then why not choose to die standing than live on your knees and still eventually die on your knees! Why not let’s choose to stand and face all odds and even when faced with death we shall stand for our never to be renounced equality, dignity and freedom! For our lands and kindred!

This is the route we have chosen and are threading. We are not promoting unjust violence against anyone or group, as soon many will spin it as. We are not calling for any bloodshed, BUT also we are not naive of what we are faced with- the system has spoken to us for decades, it has shown us its true self and nature and that is a bloodsucking, evil one and this we understand very well but still shall not be detered to rescue and take back our lands, dignity and kindred.

The time to stand and be counted is now! The Free Africa Project kicking off in the area called Nigeria has begun! Don’t be left behind! DOn’t sidon-look and fold your arms! if you really seek real change, then you belong to the movement, if you assume to have got it figured out, then get on to that and not come disturb us. We’ve got no time to waste, neither do we, neither do you! What we can’t stand and bear to watch and experience is for our children to ask us in the future as to why their lives, lands and reality is this bleak, destroyed, ruined and dead. We can’t look into our children’s eyes and tell them we failed to speak up and act or that we also followed the same tom-foolery that was before us, NO!Lose, we might, as that is one of the outcomes to every battle, but we can’t look at them and tell them we never spoke up nor acted!

We have not called you to divided and fight against your brother or sister.

We have not called you to destroy your lands and kind.

NO! But we have called you to join us and stand, stand hand in hand and fight for our dignity, equality, freedom and lands!

Parents, friends, society might disown us, but that will not deter us!

As we are satisfied based on our conscience and convictions that there needs to be a real change and we are tired ofliving and seeing our kind live like this in these states. We are tired of being in at the bottom of the pile and being the boggeyman of the world, the laughter of the world. NO! We are tired!

When a system has shown its inability or unwillingness to value our lives, protect them, develop and manage the resources we have judiciously, when a system has failed to take our lives and future seriously and has squandered it all, then it is with our very DUTY and RESPONSIBILITY to fight to take them back and save them!

Like gamblers in a casino, those before us have gambled our lives and futures and for decades we have been on the losing side, they have enriched themselves while we have suffered, then time to take those chips from them is no!They have lost the trust we have placed in them and them must face the consequences of losing at the table – Defeat!

But they still control our lives and lands because we have failed to break free, awaken and understand the power that lies within each and everyone of us.We have failed to realise that without us, they are nothing!Without our submission they are completely nothing!

They might have the money, resources etc. – all they have stolen from us BUT we hold the ultimate power and if we stand united and say NO MORE! WE SHALL SHAKE THIS SO CALLED NATION DOWN TO ITS FOUNDATIONS!Dig deep inside you and find your strength. Dig deep inside you and find your courage. The time has come for us to stand together and turn this table around!

The desire for REAL CHANGE has led us down this road and until we  conquer our real, never-to-be-renounced freedom, equality, dignity and future, the cry on our lips and actions shall be – Our homelands or Death!
