The Senate has moved to legalise the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) by passing a bill to repeal the Nigerian Football Association (NFA) Act and enact the NFF Act.
The bill which passed through the crucial second reading was sent to the Senate committee on sports and youths development for further legislative considerations.
Leading the debate on the bill, its sponsor, Senator Adamu Gumba, said it had become necessary to repeal the NFA Act because it had outlived its usefulness.
