The President and founder of the Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC), Frederick Fasehun has said that that the intention of revitalising the Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) was not to create disunity in the South West but to restore true democracy in the country.
Speaking as a guest on Channels Television’s weekend programme, Politics Today, Mr Fasehun said he found it ridiculous when he read in the papers of the accusation that his move to revive the UPN was sponsored by some officials from the government.
The OPC leader speaks further on how the proposed revived party will be funded; the prospects of the UPN and the purported N2 billion pipeline protection contract from the Federal Government.
