Last year’s finalist Holy Trinity Primary, Effort Will Primary School, Toyibat Primary School, and Ago-Egba Primary School will represent Lagos state in the 2013 Channels National Kids Cup.

They all progressed from the final round of the preliminary games played at Olusosun Primary School, Ikeja on Thursday.

A total number of 70 goals were scored in the preliminary games while two schools were disqualified from the competition for fielding ineligible players for the competition.

Effortwill Primary School beat Toyibat by a lone goal, Ago-Egba defeated high scoring kids from Christ Assembly by 4 goals to nil while Holy Trinity proved that reaching last year’s final was no fluke as they thrashed goodness and mercy primary school  four goals to nil.

Toyibat completed the fourth team that will represent Lagos as they finished the preliminary games as the best losers.

The four schools will now slug it out with 12 other primary schools from 12 states of the federation in the national competition which begins from May the 21st to the 27th.
