Ahead of Wednesday night’s UEFA Europa League final, Coach Rafael Benitez says confidence is high while Frank Lampard and Petr Cech believe that Chelsea can win their only silverware this season.

Winger Eden Hazard will miss tonight’s game against Benfica with a hamstring strain while John Terry’s ankle problem is still being assessed.

Chelsea are approaching the Europa league challenge with the same ambition they showed last year when they won the Champions League on penalties after a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich in the final.

Meanwhile, hours before the kick-off in Amsterdam Benfica and Chelsea fans have been chatting with each other, with each side claiming victory already.

Benfica’s hopes rest to a large extent on Paraguayan striker Oscar Cardozo, 29, who has scored eight goals in European competition this season, six in the Europa League and two in the Champions League, plus 16 in the Portuguese league.

Benfica fans predicted he will score in a victory for them.

Chelsea winger will miss the final with a hamstring strain while John Terry’s ankle problem was still being assessed on Tuesday.

The pair of Eden Hazard and John Terry got injured in Saturday’s Premier League win at Aston Villa. Captain Terry is desperate to prove his fitness after missing last season’s Champions League final win over Bayern Munich through suspension.
