The spokesman for Consumer Rights Advocacy on Alcohol Advert, Shina Loremikan has said that there is a regulation in the advertising and brewery industry which is a good one.
Speaking on Channels Television Saturday breakfast show Sunrise Daily, Mr. Shina explained that an extension of it is that minors are not given money to purchase alcohol or minor cannot be accompanied to a venue where alcohol is consumed, he said all these are being done in such that when a child gets to an adult age he/ she would take responsibility of the decision that was taken.
He said that in the Consumer Right Network, their worry is that some business men are trying to beat everyone to the game, instead of advertising directly they sponsor programmes on the satellites where tournaments like football is taking place and they advertise their brands, indirectly they are getting to the consumers beyond the limits and agreed terms.
