Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were unable to agree on the constitution of the executive committee to steer the party’s affairs, after meeting for five hours on Tuesday.
A leader of the Action Congress of Nigeria, Chief Tom Ikimi, who spoke to journalists after the meeting, said more consultations were needed before officials would be appointed.
Members of the merging parties who attended the meeting also explained that these are early teething problems in the effort towards building a formidable opposition party.
