Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola has sworn-in Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo as the Chief Judge of the State.

Governor Rauf Aregbesola described the judiciary as a vital guarantor of human freedom, which is often under threat, if not actual assault, from power while swearing in Justice Oyebola Ojo who has been serving as acting Chief Judge since March this year in Oshogbo, the state capital.

The governor also stressed that Justice and the rule of law are of such great significance in the heart of a responsive administration discouraged the abuse of power in the dispensation of civic duty.

According to Aregbesola, this is one of the essences of separation of powers so that there will be adequate checks and balances in the exercises of governmental powers.

He however charged Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo to carry out her duty truthfully, ensuring that justice is dispensed accurately without bias and in response, the new Chief Judge promised that the rule of law will be upheld in the discharge of her statutory duty.
