NNPC Pipeline On Fire In Ijegun

Pipe line vandals have destroyed a pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) which has resulted in an inferno at Ilado, a marshy area near Ijegun in Lagos state.

The vandals were said to have invaded the area in boats allegedly from Cotonou.

Our correspondent, Olu Philips who is at the scene reports that firemen have put out the blaze and NNPC engineers are fixing the pipeline.
