Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Gbenga Ashiru, has revealed that the country is about to emerge on a wide campaign move to Europe, Asia and Americas to secure a 2/3 majority vote in the United Nations General Assembly ahead of the election for new permanent members of UN Security Council.

Mr Ashiru in an interview with Channels TV’s Network Africa, explained that the country has the support of the entire African continent with its endorsement as the sole candidate for the African slot on the Security Council at the just concluded African Union 50th anniversary.

The Minister confirmed Nigeria’s chances adding that the country currently playing 14 international roles across the world.
