A Gastroenterologist Opeyemi Owoseni has defined Ulcer as a breach in the normal continuity in mucosa linen of the stomach and the duodenum which involves the food pipe.

She said Peptic ulcer is located in the upper part of Intestine which includes the stomach, duodenum and the esophagus.

Dr. Owoseni linked causes of peptic ulcer to excessive alcohol and pain killers.
