The forthcoming governorship election in Anambra state may be bringing good tidings for the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, as as the warring factions  have reconciled.

The national leadership of the party led by the Victor Umeh on Monday, met with the Governor of Anambra state, Peter Obi, alongside some members of the state chapter of the party.

The meeting which held at the Government House in Awka is a signal that the Umeh led faction and the Obi faction may have sheathed their swords to work together.

Mr Umeh told journalists after the reconciliation meeting that the crisis in APGA is over and it is a new dawn which portends good for the party.

Umeh regained the mantle of leadership of the party few weeks ago after an Appeal Court upheld the decision of the High Court in his favour against Maxi Okwu’s mandate who is said to have been supported by Governor Obi.

The governorship election in Anambra is slated to hold in November this year.
