Kukah Urges Niger Delta Youths To Shun Violence

The Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah has asked Niger Delta Youths not to resort to violence to express their grievances.

Addressing a delegation from the Ogoni Generation Next Project, Bishop Kukah, who is the Presidential Mediator on Ogoni, promised to draw the President’s attention to the non-implementation of the report of the United Nations Environmental Programme on Ogoni oil spill.

Bishop Kukah thanked the group for seeking a peaceful resolution of the oil spill crisis and promised that the President will take necessary action to address the environmental pollution
