President Goodluck Jonathan has written to condole former Minister of Information, Chief John Nwodo and his family on the death of his wife, Justice Regina Obiageli Nwodo in London, a statement by the presidential spokesman, Reuben Abati said.

On behalf of himself, his family, the Federal Government and people of Nigeria, President Jonathan commiserated with Chief Nwodo on the loss of his wife who was a Justice of the Court of Appeal.
The statement said “By her demise, your family has lost a dutiful wife and a devoted mother; Enugu State has lost one of her finest; our nation has lost an accomplished jurist and a veritable epitome of excellence in service.
President Jonathan said “As you mourn, I wish, on behalf of my family, the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to express our heartfelt commiseration with you at this time.
He added that “May Almighty God grant her soul eternal rest, even as He succours you and imbues you with the strength to cope with the pain of this irredeemable loss,” the President wrote.
