A group of young professionals in Abuja has reacted in strong-worded terms to the statement made by the interim chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bisi Akande  who described President Goodluck Jonathan as a ‘kindergarten leader’, threatening to retaliate, if the derogative statement against the president is not withdrawn.

Addressing a press conference, leaders of the group, Mr Moses  Siasia, Alhaji Yusuf Waili, Mr Dotun Ajayi and Dr. Uche Nwachukwe representing the Niger Delta, north, south-west and south-east wings of the group respectively, also warned that any individual or group contemplating to subject the person and office of the president to ridicule, will face their ‘wrath’.

Although they did not categorically state what they intend to do if chief Akande, whose party had since challenged the presidency to go to court  and charge their leader for libel, if it feels strongly about the matter, the tone of its statement was confrontational and suggestive of some form of retributive affront.

they recalled  what they see as  Akande’s lack lustre performance as a leader, citing some of these as poor performance of Osun state students in external examinations, his complicity in the Ife/Modakeke crisis, massive layoff of workers and his alleged ex-convict status, the young professionals asked the APC chieftain to “offer an open apology to Mr president immediately.
