A representaive of the 7UP bottling company, Mike Nzeagwu, has said that the organisation’s scholarship programme, tagged 7UP HBS, is in a bid to build quality human capital that will spearhead the revolution of the country’s economy needs.

The scholarship whch was initiated in 2010 as part of the 50th anniversary celebration of the company offers a full scholarship to a Nigerian resident in the country to study for an MBA at the Harvard Business School.

Speaking on Sunrise, Mr Nzeagwu who is the Head Consultant, Metro Media Communications, said 7UP’s aim is “to build the quality of human capital in Nigeria,” adding that Vision 20/20/20 won’t happen without the people who would drive the vision to reality.

The 2013/2014 beneficiary of the 7UP HBS, Mayowa Kuyoro, described the offer as a ‘very amazing opportunity,” adding that the offer comes with ‘no obligations whatsoever’ to the company.

She expressed hope that on completing her course, she would come back to Nigeria ‘to make a difference’.

The mechanical and manufacturing engineering graduate said the MBA programme is “a journey of discovery”.

The first 7UP HBS scholar, Misan Rewane, also shared her experience at Harvard, which afforded the opportunity to travel far and wide.
