The national leadership of the Peoples’ Democratic Party says Tony Nwoye is its candidate for the November 16 governorship election in the state, having had two party primaries conducted in Anambra state.
The party’s national chairman, Bamanga Tukur, said this in Abuja while receiving the report of the party’s electoral panel chaired by Governor Ibrahim Shema of Katsina state.
The other primary, won by Senator Uba, was conducted by the parallel chairman of the Anambra chapter of the PDP, Ejike Oguebeo.
The PDP National Chairman said the party will stand by the choice of the Anambra people in the primaries.
