Senator Andy Uba and the other suspended Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) members have been explaining why they refused to appear before the committee over accusations that they organized parallel state congress.
The suspended PDP members said as law abiding citizens, they decided to obey the court order which asked all parties to stay action until the case was determined today.
Justice Mohammed had ordered the 1st defendant to appear before the court to show why the court should not grant the interim orders of injunction being sought by the plaintiff applicants.
It was on the ground of this order that senator Uba and the other members decided not to attend the PDP meeting.
