Vincent Enyeama, Super Eagles’ number one goalkeeper has said his birthday will be celebrated jointly with Nigeria’s victory against the Flames of Malawi in the 2014 World Cup qualifier in Calabar Tomorrow (Saturday).

Enyeama, clocked 32 on the 29th of last month, decided to postpone the celebration in a bid to get him fully prepared and alert mentally for the game against Malawi, a clash that will determine Nigeria’s fate ahead of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Enyeama who started his football career at the defunct Ibom Stars, has been Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper since making his debut against England at the Korea/Japan World Cup in 2002.

Enyeama said he had to defethe celebration until after victory against Malawi is sealed, hinting that Nigeria has come a long way and nothing short of victory is what the country is aiming at against Malawi, considering Nigeria’s position in the continent.

“Saturday will be the best day for me to celebrate my birthday after the Eagles must have demolished Malawi and we would have to put smiles on the faces of Nigerians” he concluded.
