One of the governorship candidates in the forthcoming Anambra elections, Ifeanyi Ubah of the labour party, has flagged off his campaign in Atlanta, Georgia in the United States of America to get support of Anambra indigenes in the diaspora.
On the tour, Dr. Ubah also held a worship service and opened a learning centre where funds raised will go into a purse to assist Igbo indigenes in need.
Before his trip to the United States, the Capital Oil and Gas CEO, handed over 5 transit camps for officers of the police force through the Ifeanyi Ubah Foundation.
The foundation also undertook the renovation of detention cells at the police headquarters in Anambra state.
He explained that the projects will be executed under the watchful eyes of the newly inaugurated police stakeholders, and would be completed within six months.
He also stated that in line with President Jonathan’s transformation agenda, it was a way of appreciating the work that the Nigerian police have been doing in Anambra state, especially in combating crimes.
