Akpabio Charges Defence College Participants To Develop Spirit Of Nationalism

 

The Akwa Ibom State Governor, Godswill Akpabio

Akwa Ibom state governor, Godswill Akpabio has charged participants of Course 22, Team 8 of the National Defence College to take advantage of their ongoing course to develop a strong spirit of nationalism and commitment to national development.

The governor gave the charge while addressing the participants who visited him at Government House, Uyo.

Akpabio, who commended security agencies for their commitment to the security of lives and property resulting in drastic decline of crime rate in the state, said the state government believes that the provision of basic infrastructure can drive national development.

According to him, this philosophy informed his administration’s huge investment in infrastructural development.

He assured of his continued support to security agencies in order to ensure a crime free society.

The leader of the team and commandant designate of National Defence College, Rear Admiral Ndidi Patrick Agholor said they were in the state to study the linkage between infrastructure development and national development.

He added that Akwa Ibom was chosen because of  Akpabio’s massive infrastructural revolution in the state.
