Golden Eaglets Rated Second Highest Scoring Team In U-17 W. Cup

Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets are rated second highest goal scoring team at the on-going FIFA U-17 World Cup holding in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The free-scoring lads led by Coach Manu Garba have netted 14 goals, with Brazil being the top team with 15 goals scored.

The Golden Eaglets began their campaign at the tournament with a classy 6-1 demolition of title holders, Mexico.

They staged a fight-back to pull 2-2 draw with Sweden before taking on Iraq, winning 5-0 in the final group game.

Top striker, Kelechi Iheanacho is joint top scorer with 4 goals alongside with Brazil’s Nathan.
