The maiden edition of Bayelsa International Jazz Festival has been scheduled to hold in Yenegoa, the state capital.
At a press briefing, the Director General of the Bayelsa State Tourism Development Agency, Mrs Ebizi Brown disclosed that the event will hold on Saturday, 7th of December, 2013, at the Gloryland Cultural Centre in Yenagoa.
Speaking on the essence of the festival, Mrs Brown said that the event, which has been themed, “Rhythm of Life,” will help to deepen and expand the tourism bouquet of Bayelsa state by promoting sustainable and responsible tourism in the state.
She called on multinational companies, banks and other well-meaning individuals to partner with the state government in organising the event, as the enormity of goodwill it will generate for them cannot be quantified.
