New electricity distribution company, Aura Energy Limited has promised improved welfare package to motivate workers for maximum performance as well as adequate supply of electricity to consumers within the Jos Electricity Distribution Zone.
Chairman of Aura Energy Limited, Tukur Modibo while speaking at the handover of Jos Electricity Distribution Company to his company, one of the core investors, assured that with private investors coming into power generation and distribution, Nigerians are to experience a new dawn in power supply.
The hand over event which held amidst tight security around the complex of Power Holding Company of Nigeria, PHCN, Jos Distribution Centre to avoid any breakdown of law and order had in attendance, business managers, staff and core investors in the power sector.
Permanent Secretary in The Federal Ministry of Information, Folashade Yemi-Esan, speaking on behalf of National Council Of Privatisation re-established government’s determination in laying solid foundation for sustainable power generation and service efficiency in the sector.
Ushering in a new era in the electricity distribution in the zone, the Managing Director Jos Electricity Distribution Company, Fidelis Obishai, urged the investors to inject required and needed funds to turn around the present state of affairs.
The public and the staff were assured of efficient and effective services under the new organisation.
The Jos Electricity Distribution Zone comprises Plateau, Benue, Bauchi and Gombe states.
