Military authorities in Yobe state, north-east Nigeria today reviewed the curfew in Yobe state from the initial hours of 7:00 Am to 4:00 PM daily to 6:00AM to 6:00 PM daily.
A statement by the spokesman of the 3 Division Battalion, Damaturu, Captain Eli Lazaru said “the curfew in Yobe state has been reviewed. The curfew is now from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Citizens are expected to abide by the new curfew time”.
A 24 hour curfew was imposed on the state eight days ago after the state capital was attacked by suspected members of Boko Haram group and was later reviewed to 7: 00 AM to 4:00 PM daily until this review.
Normalcy has since been restored to the state.
