Nigeria’s Niger Delta region is known for its rich deposit of crude oil, a major source of revenue for the country.
Several persons show resentment when the area is mentioned due to activities of militants in the past.
Through an exhibition of photographs, five photographers showcased the reality in the region that has yielded huge revenue to the country but still carries negative stories.
“It is not all about negative perceptions,” they said.
They laid emphasis on what it is like to be in the Niger Delta, its culture and the beauty of the environment.
