Four Policemen have been allegedly killed when some unknown gunmen attacked a bullion van near a first generation bank along the Nnamdi Azikiwe by-pass in Kaduna metropolis.

Eye witnesses said that the affected policemen, who were posted to the bank, had closed from work on Monday at about 4:30 pm  and were  leaving the bank premises when the gunmen, who came in a motor bike, opened  fire on them.

The gunmen, according to the witnesses, later zoomed off after shooting sporadically in the air, leaving the four officers in the pool of their own blood.

The Kaduna Police Command Public Relations Officer, Aminu Lawal, who confirmed the incident to reporters, however, denied that four Policemen were killed, insisting that it was too early to ascertain whether the officers were killed or not as they had been taken to the hospital for treatment.

This incident is happening just hours after two people were killed and scores of others seriously injured in a bloody clash between Fulani herdsmen and natives of Manchock community in Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
