Another faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo state led by political leaders referred to as “The Ondo Opinion Leaders” have kicked against the Rotimi Akeredolu led harmonisation committee of the party in the State.
At a meeting held at the residence of one of the leaders of the faction, Dr Akerele Adu in Ijare, Ifedore Local Government Area of the state, members drawn from the three parties that merged to form the APC; the ACN, ANPP and CPC deliberated on how to work together as one.
They claimed that they are the authentic APC in Ondo State, insisting that the Rotimi Akeredolu led faction inaugurated by the Interim APC South West Vice Chairman, Niyi Adebayo is fake.
Former Chairman of ACN in the State, Mrs Jumoke Anifowoshe suggested that a neutral person should be made to lead the APC in the State for it to have a strong foundation.
The Chairman of the faction, Professor Adeyemi Aderoba, and the Deputy Leader, Mr Oluwatayo Adeuyan also made the activities of the splinter faction of APC clear.
It would be recalled that another group of the members of the legacy parties had earlier rejected the Akeredolu led harmonisation committee of APC in Ondo State.
Right now, each of the three factions is claiming to be the recognised one.
