Three Armoured Personnel Carriers and four Toyota Hilux trucks have been handed over to the Police and the Joint Security Task Force code named ‘Operation Burst’ to enhance the effectiveness of security officials in Oyo State.

While handing over the vehicles to the Oyo State Commissioner of Police Mohammed Indabawa and the Commander of the Operation Burst, Brigadier-General Laz Ilo, at the Governor’s Office, Agodi Ibadan, Governor Abiola Ajimobi, said that the vehicles are critical operational tools that must be provided for security operatives in the state.

He added that the peace currently enjoyed in the state is as a result of the dedication and relentless effort of security agencies in the state.

“I’ll like to assure you that the security of lives and property for which you have been working hard to secure will be supported by us fully, in terms of welfare, equipment, technology, and in terms of what I call commitment of the state,” He assured.
