Analyst Lauds Support For Small Medium Scale Enterprises

If Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) in Nigeria tap into the opportunities of strategic partnership, it will go a long way in enlarging the coasts of Small Business Ventures in the country.

That was the opinion of the director of Start-Up Hub, Mr. Chibuike Aguene.

Mr Aguene says strategic partnerships with other corporate organisations will also help empower business operators from the SMEs segments of the economy.

According to him, this will play a major role in reducing the mortality rate of SMEs as it is an essential management tool for developing a strong business structure.

Mr Aguene, who was a guest on Channels Television Business Morning, also attributed the failure of some SMEs to lack of control and structure. He advised small business owners to throw their doors open to strategic partnerships with relevant agencies as it would help to develop entrepreneurs in Nigeria and lead to overall growth of the economy.

Although he commended the efforts of the government in enhancing the growth of the SMEs in the country, he believes there’s room for improvement.

He therefore encouraged Nigerians, particularly the youth, not to see the failure of some of these businesses as an excuse to be idle.
