The Kwara state branch of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has expressed reservation and doubt on the capability and sincerity of the newly posted police commissioner to the state, Ambrose Aisabo to discharge his responsibility without fear or favour.
The interim chairman of APC in the state, Ishola Balogun Fulani who gave the charge at a press conference in Ilorin, added that the party was ready to work with the new police commissioner, but had reservation that his posting might have ulterior inclinations.
Ishola noted that the party have it on good authority that the new commissioner of police has been allegedly posted to Kwara state at the instance of the frustrated members of the PDP in the state and to fulfil the PDP’s agenda of intimidating APC members and frustrating their constitutional rights to free association, freedom of expression and peaceful assembly.
The APC chairman added that the will resist any attempt to use the Nigeria Police or any security agency to curtail the constitutional rights of its members.
He, however, urged APC members in the state to remain law abiding, steadfast and confident of continued victory in all elections as the party has shown that it is the most formidable in the state.
