BON LogoIssues bothering on the proposed National Conference and the smooth transition to digital broadcasting in June 2015 topped discourse at the 60th General Assembly of the Broadcasting Organization of Nigeria in Calabar, the Cross River State capital.

The assembly which was a gathering of the private, public, commercial and government media representatives across the country had as its theme; ‘’The National Conference –Imperatives for Broadcasters’’.

The Director General of the National Broadcasting Commission, Emeka Mba, gave the assurance that Nigeria would be among the countries that has gone digital in its broadcasting system by June 2015 to enhance national security.

The host of the conference, General Manager of the Cross River Broadcasting Commission, Aye Henshaw, and his counterpart from the FRCN, Ladan Salihu, centred their discourse on the theme of the forum; ‘’The National Conference-Imperatives for Broadcasters’’ as they encouraged broadcasters to be conscious of the significance of the National Conference to the continued unity of Nigeria.
