Aircraft-maintenanceThe maintenance of aircraft essentially means the inspection overhaul and repair of aircraft including the replacement of parts.

The purpose of maintenance is very important as it ensures that the aircraft remains air worthy throughout its operational life and that the passengers are safe.

Although maintenance requirement varies for different kinds of aircraft, experts say that most aircraft need some kind of preventive maintenance every 25 hours or less of flying time and minor maintenance at least every 100 hours.

One of the largest maintenance centres in the middle east is Falcon Aviation Services (FAS), which was formed in 2006 in Abu Dhabi.

FAS, first appointed as an authorised executive service centre in 2009, has the prime objective of filling the gaps in the local Aviation Market through the provision of innovative products and services. With its main operating base at Al Bateen Executive Airport, the premier VIP airport in the UAE and situated only 10km from the City Centre of Abu Dhabi.
