There was confusion on Monday morning at the Niger State secretariat as workers ran for their lives on hearing the rumour of an explosive in the complex.
The Bomb Disposal Unit of the Niger State Police Command was then called upon to defuse the supposed bomb.
However, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (Operation), Emmanuel Olokoro, dispelled the rumour, disclosing that the suspected substance was an empty can.
