Gove Seriake DicksonBarely two weeks after seven commissioners in the Bayelsa State Executive Council were relieved of their duties, new ones have been sworn in to replace them.

The new commissioners, who were sworn in at the executive council chambers of the state banquet hall have been advised to see their appointments as a call to serve and not money making venture.

The State Governor, while charging them to show good and exemplary leadership, also appreciated them for accepting the offer to be part of his administration.

He affirmed that they were joining his government at a strategic time, as he had already served two years of his four years, so they would be required to be alert and work with him at the pace he was operating, so that they could aid in delivering the dividends of democracy to Bayelsans.

Having being sworn in, they were then assigned various ministries. The new commissioners and their ministries are:

Ebikitin Diongoli – Commissioner for Sports

Barr. Kemasuode Wodu – Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice

Dr Ayibatonye Owei – Commissioner for Health

Barr Kemela Okara – Commissioner for Trade, Industry and Investment

Barr Iniru Wills – Commissioner for Environment

Martin Agbede – Commissioner for Community Development and Chieftaincy Affairs

Indutimi Komonibo – Commissioner for Science and Technology
